The story begins with the lovely name titled "Matilda" with two couple Mrs. and Mr. Wormwood who adopts a baby and name her Matilda. She was a bright child from the age of 5 and 6 as she goes to library and reads piles of book.

Her dream was to go to school as sje wabts to make new friends. After convincing her parents for million time, she finally gets to go school. She thinks the school will be covered with flowers but after reaching there the school wasn't too bad nor good.

There she meets Mrs. Trunchbull who is a horrible principal and Matilda's class teacher Miss Honey. Mrs. Trunchbull was once Miss Honey's aunt and tall all her property. Matilda gains special power and help Miss Honey to get all back which was Miss Honey's. Later Matilda was adopted by Miss Honey because her parents were all dumb. They lives happily ever after.😍
